Proximity
Proximity in photography is a design simply which means that objects near each other are seen as a unit. It really is that simple and it's something you see every day. On your web page or your business card, related information is placed closely together and it forms a visual unit
Focus
In photography, it's practically married to sharpness. An image that is completely sharp is said to be in-focus. An image that's completely blurry is said to be unfocused. The same metaphor applies to your mind. When you concentrate, your mind is sharp.
When a photographer uses the term "point of focus", he is referring to that object in a photograph at which he wants to draw the most attention. "Focus" itself refers to the amount of the image that is sharp. Both the point of focus and the amount of focus affect the resulting image. In short, altering each one changes the look of the final photograph.
We did an experiment by taking pictures on Mark on a bike. this was an experiment to help adapt us to an environment where we are able to take a clear image of a moving object. To do this you need to adjust the shutter speed.
Frame
The role of any rule of composition is to draw the eye into a photograph. Framing refers to using elements of a scene to create a frame within your frame. For example, you might shoot through a doorway, pulled back curtains, branches, fences, tunnels, or arches to highlight your subject. Adding a focal point through framing shows a viewer exactly where to look.
The use of framing gives a photo context. Foreground elements around your subject, for example, add to the story told by your image. A frame formed by branches or flowers indicates that the photo was taken in a forest or garden. Books surrounding the edges of the image show that the subject is in a library.Natural frames, like foliage or blossoms, are easy to find. Look for angles that give you a “window” to shoot through. Contrasting colors between the frame and subject are also helpful in attracting a viewer’s attention
Texture
Texture is any imagery that depends, at least partly, for its impact on the texture of the objects in the image. Textue will be defined as the surface detail of an object.
The point of an image is to draw attention. There are many ways to capture someone's attention such as using old colours while others focus on dramatic scenery , though one way to easily capture someone's attention is by using texture in your photos. This can easily be done by using bigger lenses that focus more on closer objects, causing them to be able to capture tiny details.
Many ask why texture is used, though the answer is simple. It's used to create images that have impact. Texture that can give an impact. With this type of texture being used in photography, the detail of the surface being photographed is the most important aspect of an image. Meaning all the focus will be on the texture of the image more than what the picture is of.

Tone
Tone- describes the darkness or lightness of a particular area in an image. Shading is often used to emphasize the form and an object's three
It can mean one of two things in colour photography:
When people talk about a "tonal range", they are talking about the difference between the lightest and darkest areas of the picture. It can refer to either the overall contrast of the image or to the local contrast in parts of the image (with the overall contrast moderated by burning and dodging). A "tone scale", on the other hand, usually refers to an external reference image divided into distinctly different regions of lightness or darkness.
- the overall lightness or darkness of an area of an image, similar in meaning to "luminosity"; or
- the colour of all or part of the image, usually in relation to its warmth (bias towards red, orange and yellow) or coolness (bias towards blue and green).

Shadow
photographers tend to pay a lot of attention on shadows when taking a picture. This is because light is one of the most important aspects in photography. Though on the other hand shadows may be less important and taking a picture with shadows simply lack without light. This is a major mistake as light would be nothing without shadows.
shadows are not simply a dark mass that borders light. It shows shadows are alive like light.
Pan
Panning is used everywhere and you have most likely have seen a photo which has panning used in the photo but you are simply unaware of what this technique is called.
Panning is simply blurring a background and focusing the camera on a moving object. This will give an effect where is seems as if you are simply following the object. This technique is used a lot in sport photography as the photographer is trying to make you focus on the still image instead of its surrounding and so blurring out the background easily helps you look at the still image as it is bold and still.
Shape
there are many elements of composition that form the building blocks of photography. This element plays a role in drawing the viewers eye into the photo.
Form
in photography form is one of the 6 most classic design elements in photography. It helps take photos that have a creative edge and an artistic quality that greatly exceeds the common snapshot. Form is very similar to shape and it is important to know the difference between the two. The difference is that form is an object that exists in three dimensions, which includes both volume and shape.
Tracking shot
Tracking shot is exactly what it sounds like. Tracking shot is when a photographer follows the moving objects in a steady motion. This is seen a lot with movie directors.
